Iraqi Red Crescent Organizes Training Workshops as Part of the Livelihood Project in Nineveh.

The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has held a series of training workshops for groups from the local community in Nineveh governorate, as part of the livelihood project supported by the German Red Cross.
According to the media coordinator of the IRCS in Nineveh: “The training workshops were held in the districts of Tal Afar and Sinjar, with the participation of 76 individuals of both genders. They were conducted in cooperation with (Smithson), the implementing company of the training program.”
“The goal of these training programs is to spread knowledge about various methods related to developing practical skills to start small businesses that can provide a source of income and a decent livelihood.”, the media coordinator added.
The coordinator has pointed out that the series of workshops included training in several skill areas, such as sewing courses, computer and programming skills, as well as cooking and food production techniques.
