Iraqi Red Crescent Organizes First Aid Training Workshop to Promote Road Safety.
As part of efforts to enhance health awareness and rapid response to accidents, and in conjunction with the inclusion of first aid as a subject in the General Traffic Training center’s curriculum, the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has organized a specialized training workshop concerning first aid.
The workshop began with an introduction to the IRCS work, followed by practical training sessions delivered by instructors. The participants were trained on how to handle emergency injuries resulting from traffic accidents, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bleeding control, and the management of fractures and burns.
The aim of the above-mentioned workshop is to equip trainees with the skills necessary to provide immediate assistance to the injured, thereby contributing to saving lives and reducing complications before the victims are transported to the hospital.
