The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) is seeking to empower the local communities and increase their capacity to cope with various humanitarian crises in urgent situations, in order to mitigate its potential harm, where the relief teams are continuing to provide food, relief and health support to the families in Mosul.
“The IRCS`s relief teams have distributed meat to more than 500 families in the old city of Mosul with 2 kilograms per family distributed to the beneficiaries, this distribution coincides with Eid Al-Adha, “, said the official of the relief teams in Mosul Mr. Hyder Qassim.
Qassim has added that the relief teams have enhanced their efforts in supplying the right side of Mosul with potable water to reach more than 690,000 liters which are transferred from Al Ghazalani pump station and distributed on (62) water tank which was installed in the old neighborhoods of Mosul.
In the same context, the IRCS`s health teams have distributed more than 2,000 health kits including (towels, disinfectants and health items for women) to the families living in the villages of Talqif and Hamdaniya in Ninawa Governorate.
