The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has announced that two batches of aid will reach Iraq, given by the Chinese Red Cross next week to help Iraq tackle the Coronavirus.
The president of the IRCS Dr. Yaseen Al Mamouri has said, “The next batch of aid includes a scanner and personal protection equipment for the medical workers, stressing the importance of protecting workers in health institutions because they represent the first line of prevention.”
Al-Mamouri has added “This aid was focused on supporting the health teams in order to protect them from the spread of the Coronavirus and the sustainability of providing health services in Iraqi hospitals.”
Dr. Yaseen pointed out that “ A second batch of aid will arrive by the end of this month and it is hoped that there will be future batches promised by the Chinese Red Cross”.
