The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) and the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) in Iraq have signed an annual cooperation agreement between them for the year 2021, the agreement includes nine axes that aims to support the IRCS in their response to the humanitarian needs of the Iraqi people and to strengthen cooperation between the components of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent movement in the fields of economic support, Water and sanitation, raising field awareness about unexploded ordnance, health and healthcare in danger.
Over the past years, the IRCS and the ICRC have attempted to place the needs of Iraqi people at the heart of its humanitarian operations in order to build a sustainable humanitarian response for the most affected people.
