The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has announced the participation of 7,000 volunteers to provide humanitarian services to visitors on various roads leading to the holy city of Karbala.
The IRCS has reported in a statement that 150 relief teams on all roads of visitors have treated people with diseases and wounds, spreading health awareness and providing other medical services, adding to deploy mobile units within the holy shrines and its surroundings, and inside the governorate of Karbala and the ways of visitors, the IRCS has also published tracing and ambulances to evacuate the injured, by doctors and paramedics volunteered to work in the detachments, the IRCS has called to follow the guidelines to ensure their safety. In addition, the IRCS has planned to launch a campaign to collect organic waste to recycle it and more than 1500 volunteers have participated in this campaign.
