The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has announced the raising in the numbers of refugees from the north of Syria because of the recent events to 3000 refugees who have arrived in the Kurdistan region across Sahila and Alwaleed border ports with Syria.
The IRCS has reported” The numbers of displaced people have escalated during the last two days to 3000 refugees who have entered the Iraqi territory across the Sahila and Alwaleed border ports with Syria, they have been sheltered in Bardarsht camp which located between Dohuk and Erbil, at the same time there are more than 1000 refugees available in the above-mentioned border ports waiting for the official procedures to allow them to enter, while the IRCS`s teams have provided first aid and psychosocial support services for the displaced families, adding to provide the support to the local authorities and other organizations, it is expected that raising in the numbers of refugees in the coming days to Kurdistan region.
