In anticipation of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) visit , university students received instruction from the Red Crescent Society in Maysan on the principles and practices of first aid.
Many students from the faculties of administration, economics, pharmacy, dentistry, and nursing from Iraqi universities and colleges in the area attended the course, which was held at the Society’s headquarters.
In addition to covering a number of issues, including cardiac resuscitation, bleeding, burns, and breathing difficulties, the two-day training also explained how to aid patients prior to their transfer to the hospital.
During the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon them) visit days, the majority of the course participants will offer first aid and medical assistance to large throngs of visitors, demonstrating their contact with and benefit from the information presented to them.
