The Iraqi Red Crescent has established a “Child-Friendly Center” in Anbar governorate for children living in displaced camps.
Muhannad Hadi, the Anbar branch’s director, stated, “The Iraqi Red Crescent, with the support of the Danish Red Cross, has established a child-friendly center at the Amiriyah Al-Fallujah IDP camps in the aforementioned province.”
Hadi further remarked that this center was developed to improve children’s mental health, promote a safe and comfortable environment, and to instill a sense of trust, collaboration, and tolerance among youngsters living in displaced camps.
Additionally, he stated, “Numerous games and recreational activities will be organized to promote collaboration, tolerance, hygiene, and respect for others, while the psychosocial support team will begin implementing unique programs for children.”
