The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) launches a new campaign of psychosocial support to the displaced families in Baghdad and other Iraqi governorates in order to provide services aims to protect and promote psychosocial well for the displaced families and the remove the psychological distress and to improve the quality of their life in which the number of beneficiaries from the program is (6836 ).
The cadre of IRCS forms a psychosocial support teams who trained by the Danish Red Cross and to conduct a field survey regarding the number of displaced and their positions in which the teams of IRCS were in Baghdad and the governorates of (Erbil, Anbar, Basrah, Muthanna, Babylon, Duhok, Diyala, Diwaniya, Dhi Qar, Sulaymaniyah, Karbala, Kirkuk, Maysan and Wasit) so as to be direct with the displaced in order to alleviate the suffering of displaced families and bring happiness to their children, and enable them to enjoy the various events of the program which included drawing skills, fun games and psychosocial discharge for adults and women, and to educate the mothers how to deal with kids to get them out of the atmosphere of isolation and memories of forced displacement and its impact of pain and fear in their souls, and to encourage students to keep studying and perseverance
