The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has distributed clothing to 198 orphaned children in Najaf Governorate as part of its humanitarian campaigns aimed at promoting social solidarity and supporting the impoverished families. The media coordinator for Najaf branch stated that the Iraqi Red Crescent teams have delivered the clothing to the orphaned children in several areas of Najaf governorate, including 93 families in Al-Manathira District and Al-Hira sub-district, 66 families in Kufa District, and 39 families in Al-Mishkhab District, bringing the total number of beneficiary families to approximately 200 families.

"The distribution process was preceded by a field survey conducted by the IRCS teams in several informal settlements inhabited by impoverished families, with the goal of including as many orphaned families as possible in this humanitarian initiative.", the media coordinator added.

The media coordinator has also stated that this step comes as a continuation of the humanitarian initiatives implemented by the IRCS to alleviate the burdens of living for needy families, and to consolidate the values ​​of solidarity and mutual support among members of society.
