The Iraqi Red Crescent continue its humanitarian efforts and distribute more than 470 food parcels in Diyala and Maysan.

As part of its ongoing efforts to aid the underprivileged families, the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has distributed 476 food parcels in Diyala and Maysan governorates within the framework of a series of humanitarian operations targeted at alleviating the suffering of the most vulnerable communities.
The IRCS has reported in a statement that the volunteer teams in Diyala governorate have distributed (226) food parcels to the eligible families in the districts of Baqubah, Khalis, and Balad Ruz, while in Maysan governorate the volunteer teams have distributed (250) food parcels in the districts of Al-Majar Al-Kabir, Al-Kahla, and Qalaat Sukkar.
According to the above – mentioned statement, the distribution operations were based on field surveys undertaken by the IRCS teams to identify the most affected and needy people and areas, and the distribution campaigns will expand to cover new areas in the coming months.
