Dr. Yassin Al-Mamouri, President of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, received Mr. Abdullah Al-Muhaidly, Secretary-General of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO), at the IRCS headquarters, on the side-lines of the Fifth Session of the Arab Development Economic and Social Summit, held in the capital Baghdad, with the participation of a number of Arab leaders, heads of delegations, and representatives of international organizations.

Dr. Yassin Al-Mamouri has discussed with the Secretary-General various topics related to the challenges of humanitarian work and strengthening humanitarian response to those affected by natural disasters and armed conflicts in the Arab region.

Mr. Al-Muhaidly headed the Organization’s delegation participating in the Baghdad Summit, which aims to enhance economic and social cooperation among Arab countries, address common developmental challenges, focus on Arab food and water security, promote economic integration, form an Arab economic bloc to boost joint cooperation, and advance digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
