The Iraqi Red Crescent Society Begins Providing Medical and First Aid Services for Pilgrims on the Anniversary of Imam Ali’s (PBUH) Martyrdom

The Iraqi Red Crescent Society has provided medical and first aid services for the masses commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), coinciding with the nights of Laylat al-Qadr.

The media coordinator for the Najaf branch stated: “With the commencement of the ceremonies marking the anniversary of Imam Ali’s (PBUH) martyrdom, the Iraqi Red Crescent Society has deployed six fixed and mobile emergency medical units, stationed near the Imam Ali shrine and the Kufa Mosque, these units are accompanied by mobile clinics and ambulances to transport critical cases.”

”More than 60 male and female volunteers have participated in providing first aid and raising awareness about health and safety standards, in addition to offering medical services and necessary treatments to the visitors.” He added.

The media coordinator has also added that the medical units will continue their work throughout the entire duration of the pilgrimage, operating 24 hours a day.”
