The Iraqi Red Crescent and its Turkish counterpart distribute Ramadan food parcels to residents of Al-Baraem Orphanage in Baghdad.

As we live through the blessed days of Ramadan, in a step that reflects the values of humanitarian solidarity to meet the needs of the most vulnerable groups, and in cooperation with the Turkish Red Crescent, the volunteers of the Communication and Community Development Forum of the IRCS have distributed 50 Ramadan food parcels for the residents of Al-Baraem orphanage in Al-Sulaikh area, north of Baghdad.
The media coordinator for Baghdad branch stated: “The distributed parcels included a variety of essential food items that meet their needs during the month of fasting.”
“The mobile clinics of the IRCS also provided medical consultations and free treatments for more than 30 patients, in addition to more than 40 individuals who benefited from health awareness messages about personal hygiene and the prevention of communicable diseases.”, He added.
For their part, the residents of the orphanage expressed their gratitude for this humanitarian initiative, which contributes to supporting families and individuals who lack support or suffer from financial hardship.
