Salam in Khanaqin, and the villages of Kashkul are being flooded with water, and the Iraqi Red Crescent is stepping up its efforts to help them.
Floods in the Khanaqin district, Kashkul and Al-Salam villages in Qartaba district, initially destroyed one hundred households.
The Red Crescent, Diyala Branch crews went to the affected villages and quickly conducted a field survey of the affected families, recording damage to (100) families in addition to damage to mud houses, losses of livestock and agricultural land, the Red Crescent said in a statement.
Added that “After safe passageways and roads are available, as they were damaged by the floods, The Crescent’s crews will send food and relief supplies to them immediately”.
