On the occasion of International Blood Donation Day, the Iraqi Red Crescent Society has organized a blood donation campaign in which more than (150) donors from the IRCS ‘s teams and volunteers have participated in (7) governorates (Dohuk, Nineveh, Salah al-Din, Diyala, Babil, Wasit, Najaf).

The IRCS is constantly working to organize blood donation campaigns in all of its branches to meet the urgent need for blood, especially rare items, adding to strengthen blood banks in all governorates and supplying them with the blood they require for emergencies, also treating the patients who are undergoing surgical operations in hospitals and patients with a lack of red blood cells (thalassemia).
